Mechanical Engineering

EEC has been involved with all aspects of mechanical engineering and design since 1994. Our staff of highly qualified/licensed professional engineers and designers not only provides technically compliant designs, but also unparalleled technical support services.

The below-captioned items are not all-inclusive of EEC’s capabilities; rather they provide insight into EEC’s mechanical engineering capabilities.

Pumps

EEC’s team of engineers and designers has the expertise and knowledge to analyze, optimize and design new or existing pumping systems and ensure maximum stability and reliability. The team also has a strong knowledge of codes and standards (API, ANSI, ASME, NFPA, etc). The codes and standards along with the client’s site specific design guidelines are evaluated through each step of the design cycle.

Compressors

EEC’s team of engineers and designers has the expertise and knowledge to analyze, optimize and design new or existing compressors and compressor systems. Our experience includes natural gas and air compressors. The team also has a strong knowledge of codes and standards (API, ANSI, ASME, NFPA, etc). The codes and standards along with the client’s site specific design guidelines are evaluated through each step of the design cycle.

Boilers

EEC’s team of engineers and designers has the expertise and knowledge to analyze, optimize and design new or existing boilers and ancillary equipment. Our team has decades of experience in the detail design of the entire system, ranging from determining plant needs – equipment required – detail design of the installation – startup and commissioning of the system. Our experience is differentiated by the ability and experience of training operators in the safe and efficient operation of the boilers. Our staff are considered “experts” in the field of Boilers. Our experience includes natural gas and coal fired boilers. The team also has a strong knowledge of codes and standards (API, ANSI, ASME, NFPA, etc). Our staff has authored papers on the subject and are contacted by vendors in the industry to gain insight on better manufacturing techniques of their boilers. The codes and standards along with the client’s site specific design guidelines are evaluated through each step of the design cycle.

Piping

EEC’s design team has the experience to design and review process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID’s). Once the P&ID’s are complete, the detail analysis and design of the piping system can be completed. Our staff, using modeling software and experience, has completed hundreds of design for complex (high temperature, two-phase flow, high pressure, etc…) piping systems. Our design team is knowledgeable in the codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, etc…). Our team is experienced in developing detailed isometric drawings that are routinely used by fabricators and installation contractors for successful completion of projects.

Construction Support

EEC also has the experience and knowledge base to help make the construction phase go smoothly. EEC doesn’t deliver a paper design package and stop. Upon the client’s request EEC can facilitate:

  • Drawing reviews for permits, construction, and for record conditions
  • Construction planning
  • Start-up support
  • Bid process support
  • Review of submittals from contractors
  • On-site construction support
  • Technical support to contractors and vendors
  • Permitting
  • Any other aspect of project management during the construction phase
  • Record Drawings

Record Drawings

EEC has a dedicated team of CADD staff members that will take redlines and incorporate them to generate a “for record” package. This ensures the final “for record” package matches what was constructed. This is highly beneficial for future upgrades and trouble shooting.

EEC is a multidiscipline engineering firm and we can provide this support across all disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Process, etc.
