A client wanted to formally close a debris landfill and comply with state environmental landfill closure regulations. The existing landfill was not properly capped and storm water runoff was not being properly managed. The closure plan had to comply with state regulations and utilize plant process byproduct as capping material.

EEC was retained to provide detailed engineering and design to properly close this 11.2 acre debris landfill. EEC developed design drawings and specifications for this project. Once the detail design was completed, the client then decided to allow EEC to provide construction survey layout and construction observation during closure implementation phase.
